- Aroma: Initially light fruits, followed by toasted bread, chocolate and vanilla. After a long time in the glass unfolds a fine smoke.
- Palate: soft and sweet. The slight smokiness can be found just like the bright fruits. The alcohol starts decently, but then builds up in the course of some strength.
- Finish: In the medium long finish you will find pear and very slight oak bitterness.
ROYAL SALUTE 21 Year Old Signature Blend. Originally created as a gift for the Queen’s Coronation to celebrate the 21-gun salute that honoured her in 1953. It has just had a whopper of a makeover. A new bottle that presented in a keepsake box. It looks very much the same until it’s opened up to reveal a colourful illustration of a royal menagerie created by artist Kristjana S. William.
As part of the brand’s transformation, there’s also some new additions – the first since the brand launched in 1953. Two 21-year-old whiskies – The Malts Blend and The Lost Blend, have been created by Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop. The Malts Blend is the first blended malt from Royal Salute and has been crafted with more than 21 precious single malts, while The Lost Blend has been meticulously crafted to include scarce whiskies from distilleries no longer in production.
